JSC Rusatom Energy International is an affiliate of ROSATOM established to promote Russian nuclear technologies in the world market in 2011. Since May 2015, JSC Rusatom Energy International has specialized in management of foreign projects on construction and operation of nuclear power plants under conditions of being a shareholder of project companies. In particular, JSC Rusatom Energy International is a majority shareholder of JSC Akkuyu Nuclear, which implements the project of construction and subsequent operation of Akkuyu NPP in Mersin Province (Turkey). Besides, JSC Rusatom Energy International has 34% interest in the capital of Fennovoima Oy, which is the customer of single-unit Hanhikivi-1 NPP in Finland. RAOS Project Oy is the general supplier of Hanhikivi-1 NPP, which is a JSC Rusatom Energy International’ affiliate.
