Atomproekt, a subsidiary of Russia's Rosatom, has passed an audit by Fennovoima and Finnish regulator STUK, confirming it meets local regulatory requirements as the general designer for the Hanhikivi nuclear power plant construction project.

Atomproekt said on December 15 the audit concluded that its work and management system "comply with European standards in the documentation of radiation safety and probabilistic safety analysis of nuclear power plants".

Atomproekt was selected as general designer for the project in October last year.
