Russian nuclear fuel manufacturer TVEL has announced delivery of the first batch of molybdenum-100 produced as part of cooperation between Electrochemical Plant and V/O Isotope to South Korea.
That cooperation is based on a long-term contract the two Russian companies signed last December with South Korea's Institute for Basic Science. The quantity of the first delivery was 10 kg, while subsequent batches of 30-40 kg are planned for delivery between 2017 and 2019.
The Mo-100 is to be used as part of the international AMoRE (Advanced Mo based Rare process Experiment) collaboration.
